Honda's cr-v is a very nice car all around, I would be willing to say that it is currently their best car. Beyond that, they really have lost so much. When I picked up my FR-S it was the first non honda in our family for a serious amount of time. When I was looking to buy a new car I looked at the cr-z and insight, though both are just such a let down when compared to the offerings at hyundai with their genesis coupe and veloster.
The real sad part: Honda used to make the best vehicles, I had a 1993 accord that was bulletproof and tons of fun to drive, but their new cars are just bland and watered down. Don't even get me started on how behind on the technology curve Honda is as well. They are just NOW, for 2013, offering their first direct injection engine. Shit, even mazda had DI in 2006. Not to mention the fact that their transmission (while good in manual form) are still boring and have 5 speeds. Honda used to be a giant, now they are a shell of their former self. What's really hurting Hyundai is their performance ratings, for how much they say their cars produce, their testing numbers don't quite match up. Toyota has certainly come a ways since their stumble and the GT 86 is proof of that. Though I would absolutely love to see some competition come at the FR-S from another manufactuer, because competition makes everyone work harder and better products emerge. |

On the motorcycle side of things they make awesome looking supersports, but they haven't done anything to their bikes in so long. I've been waiting for a major change to their supersports and it hasn't happened in 6 years. They still make amazing sport bikes but they need to keep at it I feel like they have slowly slipped off their throne over the years. |

A year and half ago I saw some really agressive pictures of the new and improved Civic SI with an increase in HP. I was intrigued as I like and have owned Hondas. So it was great to have 3 cars to choose from, The FRS, Genesis Coupe, and Civic SI. Then the real car shows up at the dealership, 5 years of R&D to change the rear brake lights! That does not seem edgy to me. Especially when you know your competition is coming out with the likes of the BRZ/FRS. I will have to agree with the gentlemen who stated that Honda no longer cares about enthusiasts. I was very disappointed.

If the CR-Z was RWD and had a bit more power, I'd be interested.
It'll still be FWD, and I'd rather have a mini or mazdaspeed3 if that's the case... assuming I'm willing to setting for FWD at all. |

Everyone remember Slurm? Good. Seems like the car market is doing the same. Introduce Slurm that is slightly crappier (run of the mill civics or corollas) and kind of like original Slurm and when people hate it, introduce old Slurm as Slurm classic (remake of older times like the 86 and rumors of the NSX and S2000). |
