The car and turbo kit are actually dooing very well. I have put about 1600 miles on since the kit was installed. Let me just say that I have been beating the crap out of it on a daily basis. If you ask anyone that has seen me drive I do not baby this thing at all. Burnouts, launches, highway pulls, drifting are all part of my to and from work routine. (its my alone time)LOL.

Last weekend I also took it to the Autobahn Road course track. Ran 4 20min sessions on the 15psi setting with no problems, no overheating, it was a 90deg day btw. Only problem was no traction out of the corners. LOL I have some GoPro footage I'll upload soon.

As far as the belt, fans getting to hot? Anyone that's worried obviously has no car modifing/engineering experience.

We did turn up the boost by 2 psi, but not had not had a chance to re-dyno the car yet. But the Butt Dyno Says 30-40 more whp

in for updates! crazy how this motor has handled the power thus far. Hoping it lasts

Its always a good thing when we get an appraisal of this motor from Crawford. Plus its nice to hear them say the pistons are strong, especially coming from an EJ25

Funny that as a qualified mechanic who has worked in performance shops and dealt with/owned Turbo cars, I would have thought that asking about the belt wasn't a silly question? I've seen the heat off turbos do some pretty extensive damage in my time and still do.. I am now a heavy diesel mechanic dealin with some big factory engines and just last week had to replace an actuator hose that had burnt through (was also heat wrapped) causing the engine to run extra boost, and that was a factory un tampered twin turbo V12 CAT engine

^what he said. I understand fast R&D and testing phase but actual product kit/installation manual should incorporate long last parts/placement.

Ps- you guys running the Vibrant muffler. A few of us were curious since that is what you have used in the past and sounds great normally.

My A/C line sat 6" from the downpipe, yet after 6 months it cracked and blew. I repaired it, then 6 months later it did the same thing. I even tried wrapping the downpipe. The air around that turbo can get over 350*F and after prolonged beating I think it's only a matter of time. A heat shield would be a nice addition, even if it were small.

It could be reliable for 100k miles. I have no idea. But the concern is there nonetheless.

Im not sure if this was covered, but why is the turbo angled? Will it be possible to have the turbo sit not angled?

Has to do with easier routing of the piping I think.
