FYI: Everyone can check their Facebook account for lots more cool pics. To ''The Boss/Web site owners'' if you want more revenue increase adds, but be less strict on forcing entities to pay for a vendor account when they are not directly pushing sales. The current philosophy will hurt the web site in the long run but will help profits in the short term. Pick your demon.

You gotta be kidding...was shaping up to be a killer thread. Too bad. Guess I'll go back to reading about the joys of rebadging and how to properly downshift...

Thanks much for what you were able to contribute...greatly appreciated! :happy0180:

Thanks for the pics and the willingness to help the BRZ/FR-S community!

I would hope that reason and common sense will prevail amongst the moderators and allow this thread to continue!

Labyrinth to separate air/oil.

Rods can be removed without splitting case.

Open Deck but beefy!

Rod on top of EJ257 rod. Note the crack used to split the rod cap. Supposedly this increases strength, split following the grain of the metal or something like that.

More

Crawford: "Shuffle pins added to #2 & #4 main webs"

Beefy crank next to EJ257. FA20 on bottom.

Anyone worried about the brazed oil pick up cracking? Has that problem been solved with Subaru?

A number of us are of the opinion that problem was blown out of proportion in the first place.

What you were asked to do was to please not mention your products or services as that is considered commercial/advertising activity. (so as to be fair to our sponsors).

Posting photos of the FA20 engine obviously wouldn't fall under this, so I do not appreciate the false statement. You were never told to stop posting outright unless you pay for a vendor account.

I want more! Crawford rocks, you guys do awesome work. This kind of insight is extremely helpful. Think you might tear down the transmission as well?

On a side note,
It IS technically fair that Crawford pay for vendor status if they want to promote their products. The pictures (as Hachiroku said) are fine as they're informational only.
