Awesome dude. If I were to buy a CAI I would go with aFe. I feel like it's too early to buy one. Some of the big hitters haven't released theirs yet. I want to see the numbers and dyno with tunes.

Also I'm waiting because I haven't made up my mind on FI.

I'll be at Dyno Day at WGP

But I do have an aFe Takeda coming in this week. I'm going make some time to take it down to John and see if any personalized tuning will yield any results. Plus I'll dyno it on a stock tune too.

Yea im starting to feel the same way. Maybe an actual coldair option will see some good gains. I seen one in a video but i cant seem to find who makes it.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y7iyBGDVaE&feature=BFa&list=HL1347806807"]Turbo or Header/Tune??? - YouTube[/ame]

Disappointed in the results of the shortrams. Avo's kit looks good when i was reading their thread but then it had me thinking, it saw the same gains that the dropinfilters had when ft86speedfactory did their dynos, +5hp/+1tq...so maybe the intake inlet did very little and it was just the filter that helped it out. I think im going to wait for a coldair.

There are cold air options already available. Personally, I would hate to buy one only to see months from now that a better one has been released. This car has only been out for a few months now so I'm giving it time. This is also the attitude I am using for an aftermarket exhaust.

Unfortunately I'll be at a wedding on that day, but maybe we'll meet up some time and you can check it out. I'm just outside of Boston.

Except that it hangs right at 13AFR with a more restrictive intake, analog of which you could get if your oem filter gets dirty.
Another thing - I see that at least one of those tunes makes the car significantly more sluggish in the DD driving than OEM tune, that is under 4k rpm.

Thanks for info OP, I'm staying far away from these, not worth bothering.

@OP - Thanks for some independent dyno results. Very helpful here as so much "data" is posted by vendors that are trying to push their products...

Visconti tune looks solid, great AFRs..

I'd rather 13, than 14. Not only that but Visconti's hits 13 around 5 grand and richens.

Stay away all you want, I know for a fact it improved my car quite a bit (both high and low RPM). And pays for itself with MPG's. . I'll have my own independent dynos soon.

I don't know how much I'd put into the OP's dynos. If they just flashed one map after another without letting the ECU adjust, then the results aren't reliable at all (except for the tune they showed up in).

But at least these maps make me feel a bit better about returning my AIRAID intake.

Of course it did. Tuning industry would be nowhere w/o the placebo effect.

Placebo?

I'm willing to bet you won't be posting in my thread once I put up my own dynos.

Like I said, stay away, enjoy the 20ft-lb dip, enjoy 28mpg. I'll enjoy mine
