I went with the fully synthetic Napa 0w-20. I heard it's roughly the same (if not the same) as Valvoline, and the $3.49 per quart special was too good to pass up. So far so good.

Mobil1 synthetic 0-20. Mobil1 has never failed me, and I'll keep using it. I'd drink it if it didn't cause cancer.

Pennzoil Ultra 5w-30 because I did days of research on Bobistheoilguy, reading oil analysis charts, and because my girlfriend has coworkers who do oil analysis for a living and they recommend that and Rotella T6 5w-40, and I feel that may be a little thick for the motor right now.. might try it later.

My manual says that not using MG Gear Oil special II May cause rattling noises while idling and poor fuel consumption. Has anyone been able to find this transmission oil?

The oil that you get from the dealership is made by Mobil, no doubt about it.

However the oil that is put into the engines you listed above at their respective factories is Nippon ENEOS 0W-20.
