waxing: stopgap measure?

Hi,

Is getting the car waxed and stuff a viable albeit temporary protective measure while I wait to get an Opti-Coat applied?

Thanks!

It won't hurt. I'm quite sure the car's paint gets cleaned within an inch of its life before a permanent coating is applied to it. So any wax you put on will be stripped off.

Use optimum car wax till you get the coating. It's a spray on wax that only needs to be wiped around on the paint to look great, protected, easy to use and affordable. It's also the only wax on the market that permeates the paint restoring the clear coats uv protection.
