So funny, I always assumed the 86 and FR-S had the same spring rates and thus handled the same. Apparently I was wrong!

Ignore I was incorrect, didn't see the different springs for the MT versus AT.

Me too, so there are in fact three different stock suspension tunes? Perhaps a new thread is in order. How does the Scion compare to the Toyota? I don't know enough about spring rates etc to make an inference from the data alone. Would one car tend towards over steer more? Which would have less roll? Which would allow more high frequency bumps though to the cabin?

I have a set of TRD JPN springs here, not fitted and I haven't got the spring rates.. It lists spring rates there, but not in the spring only section?? If these spring rates are correct for the JPN stuff I will be over the moon. *slightly* stiffer in the rear than I was wanting, but not the end of the world

Thanks for the info guys. I was also surprised between the differences of the 86 and Fr-s. Off topic
I know there is a particular thread on this but...what rates would provide the most stability. |

best thread on here so far. very interested to know how low the BC and Stance coils can go. Rear coilovers seem limited on how low before bottoming out into the control arm bushing

Id love to take the time to investigate it further, and see what real time testing has been done to get good suspension tuning recommendations for those particular rates. Maybe chat with shops and companies that was one of the few shops offered early pre-production releases for development.
