Pushed Back Again .... the September Edition.

I'm sensing that TMC/Subaru have already pulled their finger out as far as production output is concerned but the question still remains for us aussies and that is when are we likely to see our orders fulfilled?

The lack of dealer & manufacturer feedback, spraying of false & misleading information, keeping customers in the dark & generally giving the customer the run-around is only adding fuel to the fire to what is already a farce of a situation. Surely both TMC/Subaru must have anticipated that this would happen. Why not prepare for the world wide onslaught of demand for this car pre-launch? Why severely disappoint the buyer?

TMCA & my dealer are aware that I can cancel anytime (without penalty) as a result of the spare wheel debacle & also because a build date restriction which is stipulated on my contract.

The Evo is a great choice car, and so too is the WRX STI, both @ a higher cost, but at least I wouldn't be kept in the dark not knowing if I'll be waiting 6-12-18 months & I can start enjoying the thrills of either of these cars immediately.

TMCA are on notice !

well i called f*ck this and bought a Supra last week. Chomping everyone on the road at the moment, a 2yr wait for a car like the 86 is just stupid.
Don't fall for the hype/marketing and pay a stupid premium to get your 86 because Toyota cant get their act together to deliver a car ON TIME!!

Not worth the wait, might get one later when everything dies down

yeah.. its not like they are only selling them new now.. maybe ill get S2K now and just buy the supercharged 86 when it comes out. I should put my deposit down now for the supercharged one.

Just like gadgets that's why I waited 3 years to get my 370Z, car's well matured by then, engine's and styling is sorted and just so it happens I don't prefer the 2013 revision of the 370Z!

It'd be interesting to see what happens to the 86 a year or two from now - whether TMCA will pull out the stops to fulfill orders and whether people are still hanging on!

Hopefully 2 years from now the 86 will be revised and upspecced (though given TMCA track record I don't hold much hope), then those of you who have cancelled might still be able to get a new revised 86, hopefully not much wait time!

Good on ya Billy, the Supras a great car. I'm so sorry you couldn't wait for the 86 & I hope for everybodys sake TMCA are taking notice of what's being said here. It's bound to affect them in more ways than one - now & into the future !

There is also an 18 month wait on the VW Polo GTI 2013s as well or was it a Polo R...I heard it some where, not sure if it's true though.

Why would wait that long for a vw rattle bucket. Thats blow smoke straight out of the factory.
