Yep, I said this in another similar thread, but my family once took a trip with 2 adult females (Aunt and my Mother), my 2 sisters (10 and 1), my brother (8) and me (12) as well as a full grown German Shepherd in a VW Bug from Wilmington, NC to Lexington, KY. 3 kids in the back, dog in the rear floorboard, adults up front and my Mom held my baby sister, or passed her around between the kids.

I didn't say it was a pleasant trip, but we all survived. Of course, you couldn't do that today, at least legally.

Comparing the GT86 back to back with my S13, the GT86 is shorter on the outside, but also has even less legroom and a much smaller boot (trunk).

If you want an FR sports coupe with a tad more practicality, consider an S13 - yeah, they're old, floppy and you gotta either live with the KA24 or swap in an SR20, but they are somewhat practical.

M3 is another good call if you want more space I should think.

The GT86 isn't as compromised as a Miata, but it does need you to be accept that you won't be carrying a lot of people and/or bulky luggage at all easily, in the name of a shrink-fit sports car with a perfect driving position.

They work awesome and grab some attention on an FR-S. The concept of attaching a bike using suction cups can seem sketchy but they're a well known company with no sign of ever having any accidents.

Saw a review on Slowtwitch.com (triathlon forum) where a guy with a Viper absolutely loved these things.

couple minutes to install and seconds to take off. Store easily in your trunk when you don't need them.
