OK, the car has been out for a while- is the car practical?

Is it possible to fit 1-2 adults in the back, and in some way, shape, or form, hook up a bike or two?

If not, then I'm 100% going to have to get something else, sadly.

Its possibel to fit adults in the rear but very uncomfortable!

There is a yakima bike rack already available to mount to the roof.

If youre an outdoor person, maybe just get a wrx instead

fits 3 adults, if you sit on the steering wheel then 4.

but yes, get a WRX/ralliart/evo/sti if you like that stuff

I've had four adults in the car, it does get a bit cramped for everyone and wouldn't like to drive too far, but it is possible. Unable to give feedback on bike carrying ability.

this car is completely impractical, that's why toyota got applauded for designing it. it's about driving the car, if you want a utility vehicle get a sportwagon. i almost did, but i love my brz.

If that's all you're concerned about...and you don't care about the driving experience to be found in a sports car - then NO. Don't get this car. The back seats are small. Get something else.

I tried to fit my 26er FS (17.5") and my 29er HT (19") in the boot with the rear seats down and the spare tyre removed. I didn't try too hard as I had another car I could use (with a bike rack), but I found that even with wheels removed, the 29er wouldn't fit in due to the length of the fork. I gave up as I could see there would be problems fitting the 26er FS frame in as well, not to mention all 4 tyres.

I am quite sure there is absolutely no way you will be able to fit 2 bikes AND 3-4 adults in the car. You will need a bike rack (probably a rear one) but I didn't want to try putting a bike rack on mine as the rear rack I use (Saris 3 in my case) has left minor scratches on the Legacy due to bumps etc.

You couldn't tell the car was impractical before this? Lol. Just looking at the photos and reading the forums, you can tell right off the bat. Get something else if you need to carry so much.

I'm not that tall (5' 10") and I have the seat almost all the way back. I drive my 11 and 12 year old kids around in it but the passenger seat has to be moved way forward to have ANY place to put your feet in the rear. I wish they would have made the rear seats smaller to allow for a little more leg room.

You should be able to look at how small the car is and realize that practicality is not what this car is about.

I think it's very practical. The trunk is very large unless you're comparing it to an SUV or hatchback. Great mpg.

Back seats which I call "storage shelves" don't work with humans but you could always throw a helmet and driving shoes back there

If you and your friends don't mind slicing their legs off for rear seating then everything else should be fine. The one lucky passenger seat has tons of space, and there are already aftermarket bike racks out there. However if your friends would like to keep their legs, I would recommend a bigger car like the WRX/STI.
