is the most ridiculous claim I've ever heard. If you want to say the Twins handle better than 370Z, it's a valid argument, but to say Gen coupe is better, you need to be out of your mind. Gen coupe has been reviewed and criticized million times for its crappy and inaccurate gearbox, and its terrible ride and handling as well. Just how is that better than 370Z?
you do realize the 2013 genesis 3.8 is better in almost all ways then the 370z! More power, cheaper, longer warranty, better interior, new transmission almost identical weight and having 2 extra seats! genesis and frs>370z:happy0180:

Seriously? what kinda pot are you smoking? There you go! perhaps as a "Hyundai fanboy" you should at least get your fact right.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...glowing-page-2

More power on paper, sure, but still slower than Z in 0-60 and 1/4 miles, so that can only means worse chassis and transmission if the weight is roughly the same as you claim. I also don't see what your saying of "new transmission" does actually. Most reviews still say the gearbox is like crap and imprecise, not to mention the car rides like the chassis is gonna fall apart.

Ive driven multiple 370z working for both nissan and hyundai, the new genesis is a better overall car! the frs/brz is too! 370z is too big for only seating 2 people! Go buy a g37 for a nice car! 370z ahahahahahahaah it was cool like 4 yrs ago

I simply do not believe your claim of having driven both cars many times without evidence. Everybody can make that kinda claim. You failed to quote (or cite) any critics or reviews which can only mean to you're just BSing. Because nobody has said things about the transmission like you did. If you want to talk about oil temp issue, that's fine. But you really can't say the Gen coupe has better gearbox than the Z. That just means not only you have actually never driven both car, but also you didn't even do your research.

And why is the Z more expensive than Gen coupe? Cuz it's a Nissan not a freaken Hyundai.

I'm going to go ahead and throw this one out there...

I think people who post an"argument" should also provide information to back it up.

This is NOT directed at any particular person.

It would just be really nice to have actual hard evidence to support a claim that one thing or another. Otherwise... it's just opinion.

On another note...

While tires do not come with a part number, it is still additional money that you have to spend. (and for those who say they can just sell the stock tires and put new ones on, you still have to put in the effort). When comparing stock for stock, it should be taken as if you went to Subaru, Nissan, w/e and bought a car straight from their production line. This is how the manufacturer created and delivered the vehicle to a dealership.

Because if we say oh well the BRZ gets to change its tires, then the 370z side will want to change tires too. If the option to do something is available to one car, then it should be available to the other.

UNLESS... the argument is that a BRZ with better tires is better than the 370z with the original tires. In which case, carry on with w/e the discussion was.

I'll ask again: What is "stock"? The GT 86 with Michelin Primacy HP? The GT 86 with Bridgestone Turanza EL400? If I buy a GT 86 and it comes equipped with Bridgestone Turanza, and I decide to change those to Michelin Primacy HP, does it means my car is no longer "stock"?
Oh, and if I dare to change the Turanzas with Primacy HPs, it means the 370z should get even stickier tires, to make things "fair" for the "other side"?

OK, if we were talking about penises, then I'll concede that 1" is a lot of difference. (we're not even talking an inch here though, it's 166.7 vs 167.1)
But we're talking about cars here. The 370z is < 1" longer than the Toyobaru. So by your definition, the Toyobaru is "huge"

Also... Ugly? Really?
It may not be as "fun to drive" as the Toyobaru. But the Z is a head turner. (best looking Nissan at the moment IMO. GTR looks mean, but i wouldn't call it pretty... still want one tho!)
And i know looks are very subjective. But if you think the Z is ugly, you probably think babies are ugly too.
Just enjoy your car and stop hating on other cars. But if you must hate, at least get your facts straight or risk looking like an idiot.
Because as you can see from the superimposed pic below, the Z and the Toyobaru are very close in size. Of course with the Toyobaru you get backseats, and with the Z you get a V6 and the capability of using very meaty tires if you're into that kind of look or want to track the car.
Both cars are cool, and if you don't agree with me, you can fuck off.™

That's exactly why in one of my earlier post, I threw in the link to a review.

In my opinion, no matter what tires you change to, the car is still considered "stock". In other words, changing tires ≠ mods.

Agree. Both the Twins and 370Z are considered small "in size". If you want to discuss the weight, of course it's been well documented. Z is definitely heavy. However, this Hyundai fanboy clearly knows nothing and did no homework. Gen coupe is larger and heavier than both Z and the Twins in every way. While the 2013 model looks better in front, very few people and reviewers will actually say it looks nicer than the Z.
The gearbox and very less than good chassis of Gen coupe has been discussed over and over again, and just google it, you can find almost every review says the same.
Other than the oil temp issue of the Z, if the transmission is indeed as crappy as he claims, please provide any definite proof such as reviews. Most reviews I have read all praise the synchro-rev match to be a great system which provides smooth and accurate shift.

I'm definitely more of a BRZ fan than the 370Z but both cars are much better than the Genesis Coupe. The transmission in the Genesis is still terrible, and yes I have driven one.

yankee go and sit in your 370z and then go sit in a 2013 genesis. Better interior and better built! 370z for the money is not better than an frs/brz or a genesis! ALmost 40k just to get almost the same features as a 32k genesis with more power lol

Ugly? I don't see how anyone could consider this car ugly or consider a Genesis better in any way, shape or form. I'd definitely consider a Nismo 370z if I didn't have to commute 70 miles a day and didn't have kids..
