I don't care about stock class, planning ST.

On my STX MKV GTI (That I didn't set up, co-driver did it for me) I had slightly higher entry speeds on the same 245/40/17 R-S3s on the same concrete surface. The FR-S is killing that GTI from the center off it's not even funny.

The biggest thing is the FR-S is also my DD and I can't have camber that kills tires at an incredible rate.

I also just wanna say I'm very thankful to any help anyone can provide, I'm super new at chassis tuning.

The shop that's doing my install/alignment wants to know where I want to start with the ride hight. I told em 1.5" drop to be conservative. I don't want to rub at all under load. I'm running 245/40/17 on 17x9 et42. Any ride hight suggestions?

Who did you buy the coilovers from? Just curious since it sounds like you aren't asking for or getting help from them?

I got them used (but still new) from someone who ordered them then his wife lost her job so to keep the car he sold all the mods he bought. So I saved some money and helped a guy out.

But no I didn't order from a guy like Sam and I don't have any support. I'm a young guy just looking for some simple assistance. With future products I see the value in that but not much I can do about that now...

It's not like I'm asking for what everyone knows/has learned about damping/rebound/spring rates.

But understand I'm just young dude without a garage or tools and I really wanna pay the shop to set the ride hight right the first time. I'm a pretty good driver but I'm exactly the opposite mechanically.

When I'm not sure, I just go round and make sure it's an even two finger gap on all corners. It's a good place to start.

Too easy Max, I'll let this one go.

I'm not answering because I've never seen a set on a FRS/BRZ to judge what the LCAs look like, shock travel, etc to begin to guess a starting point.

I'll be happy to post up what I've done with ride height and how it effects suspension geometry.

I'm not looking for it to be amazing right off the start, just looking to be decent. I went back and looked at Bill's build thread and he had a couple of notes about ride height. He also has the same spec wheel/tire set-up as me.

I have mine dropped at 1.25" from stock all around. I think much lower than that and you will mess with the LCA angle.

Right now, my rear is lowered about 44mm (1 3/4") and front 36mm (<1.5"). My front camber is -1.5 degrees and rear about -2.5 degrees (I think too much).

I think might be too low and may be hurting the suspension geometry. I think I want to raise it so that it is about a 30mm drop from stock.Right now it's corner balanced and aligned, so raising it will tweak it a bit (probably just camber, right? and some corner weights)

My driving is 95% daily driving and 5% autocross.

Just wanted to pick your guys' brains before I bring her in.

Seem to me you need a bunch more front camber and maybe a little less rear. Im running 2.7/2.2 fr/rr. I'm still dialing in, but 1.5 is not nearly enough IMO.
