A high school student with a brand new Bimmer... SMH!

Sorry to hear about another FR-S damaged b/c of someone else's stupidity.

one idea... if the driver is from your school, you may want to go to Facebook to see if some one is showing off a new BMW~

asking around on facebook atm. I didn't see the bmw in school today, so I'm assuming the parents of that student took it to a shop for repairs. had temporary tags on it too, so once it gets the real plates, it's gonna be tough to track down (unless the tags have the same numbers as the plates? not sure never really payed attention to that). if the parents try to hide the accident, they're just as bad as the student. I'm just pissed cause I am paying my parents for the car, so the hard earned money I have that's supposed to go to my parents and winter tires now has to go to fixing some other person's mistake. this is also my dad's car too (I share it with him), his first since he sold his supra before moving to America.

Yea, I have a feeling that the parents are being assholes and probably gave their daughter one of their cars to drive while they fix it. I really hope you find them and make their insurance pay for it.

I think College parking lots are much better, because most the degenerates will be filtered out by then.
Not necessarily true, and I went to a pretty nice college, though as nice as the college was, the cars were pretty plain. Anyways, my poor Mazda has numerous long gashes in the rear bumper from the 4 years it spent in college parking lots. I never really paid much attention to it so I never noticed them at first. They're not deep enough to go through paint, so at a distance you can't really see them, but they look pretty rough up close.

A two-way alarm system wouldn't be a bad idea as well. I mean, it won't prevent people from dinging or hitting your car but at least you'd know when someone is messing with it.

School security found out who hit my car, going to get a quote and give that to the girl who hit my car. She can either pay for the damages upfront and we can put this whole thing behind us, or she can refuse to pay, in which case I'm probably going to sue (easy win cause I have security camera footage and she admitted to school authority that she hit my car). Initially, she told the school security officer "oh I didn't know I hit his car", which is pure bs cause in the footage, after she hit my car, she drove away. If she didn't know she hit my car, she would have left hers there. In any case, if she chooses to make things difficult, her insurance is going to go up, she's going to get points on her license, she's paying court fees, damage for my car, and her car, but that's not my problem.

Congrats man, I'm glad you figured out who it was and that they will be held accountable for their actions.

So sorry to hear this.... I feel your pain. It is even more upsetting to think if it was done deliberately, rather then neglect.

Keep in mind, it is "just a car" and cars can be fixed. Just the same, I know it sucks!!

Making an insurance claim for any repair that is less than $1k is not worth it. Granted, this would fall under comprehensive, thus no fault. However, no claim is better than any claim and save the claims for major repair.
