Yep, that's the same one i ordered, "New-BOYO VTL422C BLACK REAR LICENSE PLATE CAMERA - BYOVTL422C" Sold by: Exerta Tech Inc, fulfilled by amazon.

It arrived, the box looked similar to the BOYO box, however, the word Boyo appeared nowhere on the box, instructions, or camera itself. The camera was also missing the Boyo sticker with serial number. This is what the sticker SHOULD have looked like.

I contacted the merchant and they apologized, saying they had no idea. I'll be returning it for a refund.

Gotcha - mine has all the proper BOYO markings on the device and material. I have the VTL425 though, which is the ultra slim version. Mine was sold and shipped directly from Amazon rather than from one of their affiliate vendors.

Hi all.

Did mine. Did a great job. Took some patience.

Any way to adjust the stock head unit backup lines?

I know, the $25.00 Pyle camera I got, which though it works very well looks insanely hideous on the car. It's functional, but time to order a smaller one. Swap out should take about a half hour.

Pix:

Did you use the right pins or just some twine? Got any pics of the cable run? I don't want to run it with my speaker wires in the floor, thought maybe down the center under the console thing...

Low voltage video wiring shouldn't cause any interference with speaker wiring, should it? Anyway, there's plenty of space to keep them apart.

Yeah, I didn't like the look of that bad boy on my car - made it look like a borg cybernetic attachment. I ended up swapping it out for the BOYO ultra slim.

To adjust the backup lines - press the top button on your radio (Audio), then while holding that down, press and hold down the other two (Handsfree and Map). Continue holding util the config menu shows up. Should be the first option, then the first option again - there are a few camera line adjustment options on that second page, but only the first applies to our use case. You're going to need a few clicks on LEFT, and might need a tad on DOWN.

Nice plate by the way! What part of Illinois are you from? I grew up in Chicago.

I ended up ordering the VTL425 from Amazon. Then I changed the mine and ordered this instead VTK200C:

http://visiontechamerica.com/site/portfolio/vtk200c/

I figured I'd mount this in the OEM location and then wouldn't have to worry about the lines as it would be damn near exact. Was cheaper than the VTL425 also.

No pix. Ran it down the drivers side of the car. I drill-twisted 16 gauge black and red wires for power. Then the video wire I placed next to the drill twisted power wires and wrapped electrical tape around the eight feet of wiring to make one long cable.

You can't distinguish what I did versus stock wiring.

No video interference.

I used SVXdc cable. Easy peasy. Tapped radio +12V (the one I used for sub) for camera and Ground off of radio harness as well.

Has anyone tried the other car models on the 1st "Camera Setting" screen (options G-4D, G-5D, G-XUV, S, etc.)? I'm wondering if any of those turn off the guide lines. BTW, "S" is for Forester.

Also, has anyone tried to see if you can scroll the lines completely off one edge?

None of the other options did anything for me. I could adjust them but they don't affect the rearview camera display.

I don't think I tried scrolling it out completely, let me give that a shot.

Just tested this - the head unit has limits on the lines, so you can't scroll it off-screen.
