Intake Obstruction

Got my drop-in today and went to change my air filter. Found this glove wedged between the stock filter and the housing on the engine side of the intake. Pinky finger was starting to tear off from turbulence. Good thing I didn't decide to stick with the stock filter. Yikes!

Yeah dunno. If I remember correctly with the afe the side that says front actually went towards the engine, so really back. The seal matched the shape of the stock filter though so just put it in the same way the stock one came out.

So it came like that from the factory? Toyota needs to know about this, give them your vin. This is unacceptable.

Yup. Couldn't believe it. Was partially obstructing airflow and hanging out far enough from the edge that it wouldn't have been much longer and bits of glove would have been pulling loose. Pinky was getting ready to go first, was ripped halfway off.

I agree with posts on that one HAS to be a mouse. I had one build a nest under my hood before and was a f'n nightmare. Nuts, straw, insulation, and chewed wires everywhere. Took me months to find all the issues it caused.
