There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to brakes.... And BBK makes sense on many levels. They have "equity" in them, meaning they hold their value (one of the few mods that has this perk). They last much longer when it comes to pads/rotors. It makes total sense, anyone driving their cars hard should look at a BBK, never heard someone say "wish my brakes didn't work so good"

If you look at the AP ones, they are almost 8 pounds lighter than stock at each corner.

They can also have negatives if poorly developed (bias issues, etc).

Stock brakes with good fluid and pads work perfectly fine for the track. For the street, driving hard or not, there is no reason to run a BBK, except for looks.

There are reasons to go with a well sorted BBK, but they are relate to the track when you need more heat capacity in the rotors, cheaper replacement pads (in some cases), etc.
