There's definitely some resonance inside my car. I decided to just wear earplugs for long drives.

I've been paying close attention to the loudness lately. Here is what I've noted:
- It is obnoxious on cold startup but, like Mo said, the engine does something weird with timing for about 30 seconds. It doesn't bother me as much as it probably bothers the neighbors
- For the first 10 minutes or so the sound/loudness is a bit muted and is pleasant
- After the exhaust fully warms up is when the drone gets bad. It occurs right around the 3k rpm mark under load. It also occurs on deceleration while the car is in gear. Like civicdrvr said, it makes me feel like my head is going to explode
- If you play Metallica and turn the volume up to 35, you don't really notice the drone at all but on a serious note, I wonder if the bass from the music is canceling out some of the drone frequencies.

So the original point I was trying to make is: let the car get nice and warm, and then get up to 3.5k rpm and let the car decelerate in gear. Let us know if you hear the booming. I also wonder if some folks have a bit of low frequency hearing loss. I can't imagine much difference between cars.

I'm going to meet up with civicdrvr in about a week and a half to hear the difference with the larger resonator. For what it's worth I'll post my thoughts here afterward.
I still think this is the best sounding exhaust available. I also think it's the best looking 1) because you can adjust the tips to be flush, or to however you like them and 2) because of the symmetrical look to the mufflers underneath the car.

Nice vids man, thanks for sharing.

Mo gave me an estimate of the last week of August for shipping my catback, but that was before the whole resonator snafu. No ETA anymore for me and no updates yet.

The in-car videos give me hope!

Only reason why I say "drone" is because there was already someone from the group buy who installed the original exhaust and said it never droned as well as the fact that we aren't seeing 20 out of 20 saying it drones.

I got the larger resonator however just in case as well as I don't want to be a cop magnet if this exhaust is really loud

I like to see other vendors keep their exact advertising as well but you know it doesn't always happen. Hell if that was the case I would of bought a AP pulley and demanded that they give me one that makes 18 whp.

I haven't had a true cold-start yet so I cannot comment on that. As we were doing the install, we started the car to take videos as we added each piece. Pointless, I know, but hey, it was kinda cool.

I was just out for a ride and noticed the increased volume under load around 3k RPM and you may be able to hear it in my first in-car video that I posted. I even said something about the increased volume under acceleration.

I also decelerated in gear from about 6k RPM to 3-4k (don't remember, have to watch video again) and to me, it's not as loud decelerating.

A description about a feeling like your head is going to explode makes me think of the sound many modern sedans make when you open just the rear windows a little and not the front and you get that helicopter thumping noise.

To me, it is loud under acceleration but I was expecting it to be louder especially since it deletes, the 2nd cat, the small resonator, the one resonator is smaller than the stock one and also the mufflers are much smaller than the gigantic stock one.

Let me get some more driving time with it and I will report back to see if it starts to bother me at all. As of now, I don't mind it and it seems like its just the deep, low exhaust note. I'd be interested to hear the larger resonator as well to see if there is a difference, but I'm happy with the system that I have now.

The wait was not the issue for me either, in fact I am still interested in the final product. My request for a refund was based purely on the changes made since I put down my cash. The offering has changed and IMO that should give the customer the option to continue under a new agreement or opt out.

I experienced a cold start for the first time today when I left for work. I do agree with others that it is loud for the initial start up but once the idle settles down, the exhaust quiets down as well.

I took a few co-workers for a ride today and they all loved it. None of the three that I took for a ride said anything about the exhaust being too loud or droning, but none of them are into modding cars etc. I work a guy that autocrosses and is into cars so I will take him for a ride tomorrow to see what he thinks.

Ruskymx

P.S. Mo, you may be getting contacted from a guy from my area that has an AT that checked out my exhaust today and he it
