How about using something like this oil filter relocation with T-Stat.

I am very interested in this ASAP. If you need more testers, I'm up for it, just PM me any cost/info. If not, please let me know about this availability.

Are you Hix from Scionlife?

But getting back on topic... I recommend the B&M as it has a cold temp bypass that is based on the viscosity of the fluid (Lower temp, thicker fluid) which helps if you live in a place that gets snow/gets really cold.

I picked up a 13,000 BTU B&M for around $50. came with hoses and everything.

Can anyone think of any particular reason why an oil cooler would be a bad upgrade on a daily driver? I know it won't be needed for trips to the store or whatever. But I also plan to do a track day here and there... Just trying to help keep the car healthy with some preventative medicine. Opinions welcome.

The only problem is that your oil may take longer to get to normal operating temp (180 - 220 degrees F) depending on the sandwich plate you use. I had a 370Z with a small added oil cooler and in cool weather at times it wouldn't reach 180 at all. In the winter, many of us added a plate in front of the cooler to make it less efficient to get the temp higher.

This is true. However, a simple solution is to use cardboard and block off the oil cooler. :P

On my 370Z I used a thermostatic sandwich plate with a 180 degree thermostat but it still had trouble getting up to 180. The reason being that this particular type of thermostat had an oil bypass and was never completely closed.
