best sounding/looking/simplest/cleanest exhaust i have seen so far. i like that it's a header back, and not a catback, as i don't want a different front pipe or whatever it is called from a different company. the exhaust on this car is a very weird setup.

is the cat in the over pipe or the front pipe? does this exhaust not come with a resonator in the midpipe?

The cat is in the front pipe, close to the over pipe.

There is a resonator in the midpipe, however the smaller resonator makes it annoyingly loud and full of drone.

You can make that 2 1/2 for loudness. I'm only 50/50 about selling it as I do love this exhaust.

Hey civicdrivr, did cold start noise level go down after putting on the larger resonator? What about the tone of the exhaust, did it change at all? Is there an option to purchase a whole new midpipe with the new resonator from SRT or do you have to get it welded on yourself?

All I have to say for now is that I can't wait to get this thing on the dyno to confirm how it feels to me. I don't have a baseline to compare it to, but I hope to be able to compare the numbers to another stock FR-S or BRZ at the local dyno day on 9/22. I already had the Ecutek tune from Visconti on the car, but now it sounds and feels even faster.

Its hard to say about the cold start. I start the car in a garage every day so its amplified. I had a cold start video of it before the new resonator was installed. Ill take another one tomorrow.

You'll have to talk to SRT about getting the new resonator though. I don't know how they want to do it.

You really cant compare the numbers to another car, there are just too many variables.

Seriously though, I could consider bringing my entire stock system and see what I can do there. At the very least, I'll try to get the ecu flashed back to stock, dyno it, and then flash it again to Stage 1 and see what sort of numbers I'll get with the exhaust.

I don't know why people would be selling this for loudness as Mo has offered to put in larger resonator in.

I'm still waiting on my catback. Mo estimated the last week of August, but I guess that's not much of a delay.

Now this is what Id love to see.

I was trying to get a baseline done before I did any power mods. But once the parts were delivered, I was too excited to just let them sit there

I'm going to get mine dyno'd when I receive mine. I'm currently running a Perrin LW Pullley and a STG1 tune. I'm going to try and meet up with Visconti when he's in NJ. I'll definitely take videos of it when it happens. I just hope the logistics can work out since I can only do this on my day off and John is crazy busy. I don't think I'll be able to have the exhaust sit in my garage for too long without installing it.
