Got around to installing my Airaid intake yesterday after Airaid sent me the correct elbow by air overnight.

Pros: Looks great, sounds great, powerband feels a bit beefier. is amazing sounding at 6k and above!

Cons: Don't feel like it revs as fast as stock did at lower rpms but revs do pick up in the higher rpms.

I have no bogging issues at all tho. Tried the testing of letting the car settle at 5mph then flooring it and no problems with the engine building power up.

Overall my experience with Airaid as well as AJUSA have been phenomenal. Both were quick to answer my PMs, helpful whenever a issue came up and both were easy to deal with. Out of everything I have bought for my car with the vendors on here I would rank Airaid and AJUSA top 3 easily. I'm still waiting for parts I've order months ago from some so a vendor that lays out a pretty accurate time frame as well as communicates with the customers in a graceful and effective manner is truly a nice change.

Here a pic of my install and I will be posting up a pic of my car in a little bit once I throw on my spoiler!

That actually is part of the bogging issue. Mine started out by being slow to rev. Keep us updated as you put more miles on it and do the 5mph WOT test if you dont mind.

Anyhow, I removed all screws on top lid, put a little bit of Loctite on all four of them and then screwed them back in as I originally had. I'm sure this will solve the problem. Now, I'm worried about the three holding the main air filter tube to the box! Didn't seem loose, but I also didn't remove the whole system to check.
FYI -

Took apart the system today. Accessed the three screws that hold the air filter assembly to the box, and used Loctite on them as well. Note: They were not loose, but better safe than sorry.

My car has been out of commission over a broken driver's side window, so I haven't gotten to put many miles on it, but so far my impression of the intake is highly positive. Sporty sound without being obnoxious, no driveability issues (yet to see the bogging issue first hand), and the butt dyno seems satisfied with the change. And on top of that, the fit and finish of this product are stellar. I took the yellow AIRAID sticker off of mine, if I had a blank intake cover, it would look like stock equipment.

So, I must say that the intake so far has been great! However I have also lost 2 of the cover screws due to vibrations. Also my cover plate does not seem to fit my intake box very well, ether the box or the plate is slightly misshapen. In order to secure the plate to the box I have to use some brute force to make the box fit to the plate.

Other than that I have not had any bogging issues or things of that nature although I know @2forme has and I HAVE personally witnessed the issue. It is a REAL issue, and it is VERY violent and noticeable, at times the whole car sputters and shakes. I do not know why his car does this and my car does not.

I will be installing a full Perrin Catback Exhaust with Resonator tomorrow and I will see if that affects anything.

Hope you enjoy it. I just put my factory box back to see which one do better in town cause I felt the airaid box is not smooth in city driving. And there always lag in low rpm. Will do more driving tomorrow.

I just picked mine up today and I want to echo Mr.Jay,

because honestly everything he said about the vendor I would gladly say the same thing. Top notch vendor and I am excited to install this into my car (once my car arrives...)

Glad to hear! Customer service goes a long way. Other vendors should take note at the outstanding customer service provided by Airaid and AJUSA, even when parts are on backorder. Vendors should keep their customers informed and up to date in real time verses some that offer next to zero communication

It was one of the hotter days here in Chicagoland since I've had the AIRAID intake installed. And let me tell you, the drive home was excellent. I finally heart a very deep tone to the intake as well as that of my exhaust. Still sounds like a hoover vaccum, but the noise is definitely due to the plastic piping. It doesn't sound like an electric guitar, but rather a low note of a tuba - no rasp, but refined. I can get used to this! And on another note, came home to a box with a T-Shirt and $50 cash. Holy shit! Customer Service is excellent. Let's hope I have no issues with the intake. Can't be too confident with this new car. Thanks again AIRAID!
