I thought it was horrible when I first bought the car. Someone on our forum was kind enough to read the owner's manual and share the fact that the stereo settings may be set for TC vice FRS. I found mine was actually set to XB. Once the issue was resolved, there was a noticeable difference / improvement.

More bass?! There is too much of it! I just measured sound system response with audio analyzer. There is a huge bump at 40-80 Hz. Now I need to find how to get it down. Internal equalizer has no settings below 100 Hz.

There is also a hole at 1.6kHz which significantly worsens sound quality. There is no setting in equalizer for that area too.

Probably replacement of speakers is in order.

Maybe you should have a sit down in my old Yukon and listen to a song, I'm sure you will never listen to any stock system ever again.
The stock isnt bad compared to other stocks .. But paper cone speakers are garbage , If you like you music clean you have to upgrade

I like it. I paid for it, I am gonna keep it. There is one song that it can not handle, but as far as being able to keep road noise down with windows down... music is plenty loud enough.

I would rather save that money and put to a perfomance mod.

I rather like the radio, and the blue tooth pairs without doing anything. Fantastic.

It's probably HD radio going in and out, it's like that on my gf's eos and you can see when it's getting hd. If it bothers you HD radio can be disabled in the settings

It's bound to be better than the two 4" speakers and two 3.5" speakers in my MR2 The antenna barely picks up local stations, and I can't hear anything on the highway (exhaust too loud).

But proooobably not as good as the Bang and Olufsen I had in the S4 or the Bose in my mom's E320. C'est la vie! Got a set of Polk Components lying around that I'll probably toss in when I get the BRZ.

Yes, this happened to me in the Audi all the time. HD radio is very spotty where I live, so it's constantly blending. Most of the time I couldn't get HD2 and HD3 stations in, either. I got so sick of it switching over I just shut HD radio off.

So far for a stock radio I am very pleased. After adjusting the bass, treble and fading a bit to the rear it sounds great for what it is.

I had a full MB quart system in my Mroadster which was AMAZING, this is by no means there but for a non amped system it delivers.

The bluetooth audio is awesome, and other than the voice recognition not working with my iphone I have no complaints.

It will be the last thing I upgrade.

I like my radio. A step up from my 2008 S2000.

The "upgraded" radio in my FR-S is crap. Why can't Satellite radio be an option for it???? This is the only thing I dislike about my new ride - otherwise great.
