Yes. It would last longer for weathering by itself, I considered that at first.

But I wanted a few things to happen this way. One painting on the outside as well adds more dimension to the layers. Two I have more control with adding clear coat after the fact, and matching it to the cars paint. Also I had one section that bothered me where the cuts were I wanted to cover in the top section of paint.

Also it became more important when trying to cover the vandalism fracture. I still am working on it even through its almost impossible to see durin the day. Only at night can you see it well with the brake lights on.

I plan on finishing these over this long weekend but won't be able to do the clear coat till Monday.

I commend you on a job well done!

Looks really good!! Reminds me of a blacked out ZR1 i saw recently with those wheels, what are they and how much do they weigh?

Also just a suggestion to consider but either painting your brake calipers red or if you can afford it go Brembo. It would look really slick imo and would tie into the red seat details.

That's not a bad idea. Perrin cat back in black... especially if the tips are also black. I'll check it out. I was looking at exhaust the other day.

I'm considering a two tone paint scheme of a flat (ter) black lines that follow the curves of the car. It would obviously be suttle, but would tie many other car pieces together. Maybe I'll try it black vinyl and experiment.

I'd like to see more quarter angle and side shots! Curious to see how the Pro-Kit looks on those Assetto Garas.

I'll take some tomorrowafter I get it washed maybe.

To be honest I am rather impressed with how similar the Eibach springs are to stock in the way it drives. It's very very slightly stiffer but I think only becasue slight reduced travel. I was very happy when I took the first drive after springs, rims, and tires were installed. The Eibachs were better quality then I anticpated even though I have been running on almost the same springs (different car) for 10 years.

Looking good. I think the scion badge ought to be clear coated though. I'd shoot for silver lettering to accent the other silver pieces like the wheel bolts followed with a shiny coat on the badge.

Nameless also has their exhaust with a black finish.
