This may sound stupid but can you zoom in on the emblem location? Maybe we can make out what it's covering lol

Oh yeah, that's shaping up to be a good looking production car!

Lol at all the dolts calling it ugly...(I know I said it earlier, but it was a joke). Its a freekin' test mule....and for a test mule, thats a good lookin' car!

Wasn't joking about the Enkei's though....ugly offset and design for that car.

Seriously, someone chop some work equips or something!

Yeah... for a test mule.

It's like a polished turd.

Very disappointed with those tail lights. Looks clown-ish like the last-gen BMW Z4. Toyota should just let 5Axis take over the whole design because the FR-S concept tails were so sexy and I don't see how keeping the shape of the concept tails can be a costly move.

I had hopes with the first test mule because it was just pieces put together. But with this current test mule, it seems like it is production ready.

It looks like a production version of the MKII. I was looking forward for a production version along the lines of the FRS concept. But since nothing is official yet, I'm holding my breath.

Put a nice metallic shiny coat of paint on that and some proper wheels, you wouldn't say 'polished turd'.

and LOL harder at people expecting the FR-S to go production as it was in concept form....I wasn't even expecting the wheel arches. Its a sexy car, but damn, is logic and common sense this scarce around here?

You know, I'm against the counter effectiveness to rigidity it would propose, but I don't think I'd mind if there were a Targa model of this thing. lol.

Agreed. Optimistically how many FR-S do we expect Scion to sell a year in North America? Maybe 50-60k combined? Financially speaking it really isn't worth whiled for Toyota to produce two different cars; Toyota and a Scion version when you take into account the manufacturing costs of running two different body styles. Just don't see that happening in todays economy. Running two different lines with significantly different body work can lead to more headaches and costs than a company will want to deal with.

Now an interesting question is how different will the Toyota/Scion be from the Subaru version? If past history of other car partnerships is any indication they will probably look very similar with just a few minor cosmetic changes.

Dodge Stealth

Mitsubishi 3000GT

Eagle Talon

Mitsubishi Eclipse

Mazda B series truck

Ford Ranger

I'm sure there are many more examples but those are just the first that came to mind.

No thanks. I've never liked anything by Five Axis.
