Anyone check their VON with SOA recently? - Page 61 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

From what I've been told, once you call the first time, a case number is assigned and they update it each time you call. I called about my VON a couple weeks back and they were able to pull everything up along with what was discussed with the first CSR. They basically told me that they will call me every 2-3 weeks to give me a status update.

So I got a call today, they let me know that 20 BRZs were damaged in Baltimore, and one of them was mine, that I would be getting a different VIN and they were going to see if one of the same color was available so they could install the options I wanted...

This smells like bullshit... but then again, I did call SoA first, and they contacted the dealer and then the dealer contacted me, so maybe they assume I could call SoA to verify.

I am like two weeks from buying a bmw instead...

Unfortunately, that seems to be the case as there are a few folks on different forums reporting that they were told that their cars were "wind damaged". That most likely means that during shipping the ship was rocked by some strong winds and the cars bumped up against each other resulting in damage. These cars are usually sold at dealer auctions and not to the general public.

Finally got my ETA after months of waiting ever since march. ETA 9/27 on my premium auto CBS. anyone else get the same eta or close to?

Just got a call from my dealer telling me that my car is on 1 of 2 boats coming in September based on what Subaru told them. He says one is expected in mid Sept. and the other boat at the end of Sept. so ETA of mid to late Sept/early Oct. for my car.

Yeah, good collaborative pool of info. I guess it's also a bad thing that this thread is still so active...

Hopefully cnk's dealer was correctly informed. It does make sense though, especially if others are getting updated ETAs that are all being changed to Sept.

Who knows how many times I called SOA. But in the end the wait was worth it and I am sure I will enjoy this car for a long time
