In case anyone is looking for an FR-s they have a white, a silver and a red with VIN's in the low to mid 6xxx range.
I'm in central NJ and my car came through Baltimore.

Completely spittballing here, but I imagine the Brunswick port down by Savannah. A lot of manufacturers use that port for SE distribution.

I check today and I now have a VIN and a ETA date of 9/27 ...
considering I've been lurking around since last Nov. and I place an order
back in march ... this is an Epic journey.

When I took delivery, the report said my car arrived in port in Baltimore, MD. It then got trucked down to ATL.

Also, if anyone's wondering, VINs are only assigned once a car hits port and clears customs. That usually means a 2 - 3 week wait between VIN receival and delivery. This time will obviously vary depending on ground transportation and how far away you are from the port of entry. Your dealer should know your car's latest location once a VIN is assigned, and once it's on the truck, they should be in contact with the driver and know almost to the hour when the car will arrive.
At least that was my experience.

VIN's are on the car when assembled in Japan, not once they get to a port.

But they don't get tied to your VON until they've reached a port and cleared customs.

horrible wait and logistics

I ordered mine back in 04/11, got a call at the beginning of August that the ETA was 08/09, as well as a VIN which ends in 17xx. The delivery date keeps getting pushed back and it is extremely frustrating.

Burning in my pocket is a check for the full amount that I've had ready since the 7th

What a difference a weekend makes...

On Friday the dealer had an ETA of 9/11. My ETA today is 10/15.

SOA has gone from saying October, and my dealer (which I found out through another customer with a different rep since my sales guy is clueless) saying September, to now SOA saying they actually have no idea when the car will arrive.

Can you say FR-S?

Okay...so far I've read that one person in Texas got their's and one person in Colorado got their's...both with EADs of 8/27.Also read one person in Ohio has their's at the railhead. Well I'm in Kansas (picking up in MO) and haven't heard anything from my dealer...I KNOW IT'S GOTTA BE HERE!!! My EAD is today (SWP Limited 6mt)

I just spoke to SoA and the rep (Amy) said because of the a actual delivery times she's seen, she is not bery confident in the 9/18 date shown on my order. She's checking with distribution to see if she can get a more accurate date, and will get bak to me later this week. I also learned they keep records of every call we make. I've called three times now, 2-3 weeks apart each time. Hopefully that doesn't make them think I'm being difficult and impatient...
