I didn't tighten it quite that tight but I did tighten until the end of the clamp started to stretch around the top half-moon. I was worried about making the clamp un-reusable if I stretched the clamp that much.

Does the larger resonator still sound awesome at start up like the regular resonator?

I'll Let civicdrvr be the judge of that later today and he can chime in about the difference between the two and let you know.

I think they both sound awesome.

Did they ship it to you yet? Between the delay and possibility of drone issues I'm on the fence again about this exhaust.

Mo emailed me yesterday saying he was gonna ship it yesterday or today.. didnt get a email back from him...

Meh, im turning apathetic about this whole issue with the drone... I mean it's interesting on the first 20 shipped and only now there's drone issues...but then again shipping got delayed and all that. If i get mine and the drone is a big issue.. well.. that sucks for me.

All I know is I paid monies... eventually ill have my exhaust whether I'll be disappointed or not.. i just want a damn exhaust on my brz!

on other note.. this makes me hesitant on pre-ordering things now.

You guys know you can call him right? I am sure for most people he is waiting for something to say go ahead and do a resonator or I have an auto before he ships them. I doubt he knows what your screen name is or your phone number to call you.

@Tylub A resonator is what changes the tone of the car. Traditionally they were large hollow cylinders that allowed reverberation of sound. This reverberation caused a lower tone and helped eliminate varying sound levels. Think of it as tuning a guitar, by adding a larger or smaller resonator you tune the sound of your exhaust. Today resonators are basically pre-mufflers that lower temperatures and change the exhaust note. The only true resonator in use today is the Helmholtz resonator (which this car has) that is an open air acoustic cavity.

In general bigger means more quiet but you have to take into effect quality since they are usually packed with deadening material like a muffler. SRT is going from a 4x17 Vibrant resonator to a 5x17 Vibrant resonator. Basically they are adding more packing material.
