1000 Base Hampster Power.

Direct Sunflower seed Injection.

Just kidding.

I'd leave it alone until I become a bit more familiar with any other options and... have the money to do a swap.. Or a Tune. O:

That said, the V-6 Premium most people buy starts at $26k, with plenty of high-profit-margin GT's well into the $30k's.

If the FR-S follows the traditional Scion philosophy of having only one trim level from the factory, there won't be any juicy high-profit margin trim levels to offset the loss-leading base trim offerings. Factor in that Toyota's last small sports cars [the Celica and MR-Spyder] died tragic deaths from very low sales, and Toyota has a huge mountain to climb to get solid sales figures to make the FR-S worth building at any price.
To put some volume numbers in perspective:
That is about 5x Scion's total sales last year.

That is also about 20k units less than Scions combined sales of their best year ever (years ago...).

One car vs all of Scion.

Should be interesting what options will be available. I wonder if parts/kits will be swapable between the Subie, Scion, and Toyota.

I may if the stock one is underwhelming, for example as I fear, a maxed out FB20 that is not mod-friendly. I would look into the EZ30 (240ish hp stock) H6. They should be cheap by the time my car's paid for. If that won't fit, or is too front heavy, the next gen WRX/STI H4 should be out. But that would be $$$.

I'm throwing out options, since we still don't know if the motor will actually be FB-based, as the WRX/STI are getting a completely different design.

I'll say it again: 90mm stroke (FB's) is not rev-friendly.

I hope not. I don't know shit about Subie's. But I was hoping for something high rev'ing like the first gen S2000's.

You know the difference between the FR-S and the other Scions are? The FR-S isn't really ugly and douchey (the first gen tC is okay, but it's nothing special).
