that was cool. noob question ahead; so i dont remember reading anything about why its an Scion FR-S here in the states but every where else its a Toyota GT-86. why is this?

Well Scion is exclusive to North America...outside there is no Scion. To help the North American-only brand grow, Toyota decided to brand the 86 (they assumed it would sell well enough) under Scion as the FR-S of course..and in June Scion sales boosted a whole lot...needless to say it worked. If we didn't have Scion, then 99% it's a Toyota. However, its hard to say whether the equipment would be the same. (led drl, keyless, navigation, etc.)

... Right until all the other colors slalom passed the Firestorm, and then the Whiteout drifting countless number circles around it at the end.
