Why do you assume this? It's a line item option on a premium. I would email the SEB (http://sebscca.com/) for clarification rather than buy the car you'd rather not have and spend more just for a spoiler you probably can have anyway.

I went for Limited mainly because I wanted the convenience of keyless. The leather seats, prettier controls, auto climate, and dual climate are all nice too, and I expect I'll enjoy the heated seats in a few months.

I haven't found the fog lights to be useful (probably because the HIDs are already so low and so good).

If I had to pay extra for the spoiler, I wouldn't have bothered (though when it was revealed last Spring that it reduces drag, I warmed up to having one a bit).

Anyway, that's a lot of amenities for $2k, and it'll retain some of that extra value should you ever sell the car.

I always assumed it was resistive because of how it feels (it flexes slightly). After I read your post, I confirmed that by pushing buttons with a couple objects (through my hat so it wouldn't scratch the screen) that wouldn't register taps/drags on my phone.

I suspect that cars use a thicker outer screen layer than the PalmOS and WinCE (shudder) devices from 5-15 years ago. Capacitive is the way to go on a phone, but resistive makes sense in a car.

Go for limited. Don't forget about those heated seats! Unless you live in a warm area all year round...

For those with Premium models looking to add foglamps and delete the DRL's, the link below is to the 2 available JPN BRZ foglamp housings.. I'm planning to retrofit some Ford Fusion projectors in there with a low cutoff and lower temp bulbs..
