Working on the review. Sadly my data logger battery died after 1 lap with the sportlines.

However based on video it looks like 2-3 seconds on average faster and 1.5 seconds diff between the fastest lap with both.

However, there is some variance there as I was 1,100 miles from home in a brand new car for the first time on Mid Ohio. My lines seemed decent enough (not perfect but not bad for learning it on my own in a couple of sessions) but I was NOT pushing 10/10ths.

Car was in VSC sport and TC flashed like crazy, even though it almost never cut in. It flashes like crazy under braking and when hitting the curbing. I left in in VSC Sport for the same reasons I wasn't driving 10/10ths. It'll be good to get some time with the car on a track I know well, like CMP, Sebring, etc.

Here's a couple of laps: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2RrZ26sM6Y"]2 laps at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in a Subaru BRZ - ITR Expo 2012 - YouTube[/ame]

Great video, Dave. Thanks for posting it. Smooth driving!

Taking mine to Mid Ohio in a couple of weeks for the PCA DE, and I've got a few setup questions:

I'm using stock size Pilot Super Sports on 8" wide PF01s - what would be good cold and hot tire pressures?

Planning to run max available neg camber with camber bolts - good idea? How much rear toe in with that (in degrees)?

Ive ordered pre-bedded XP10/XP8s to run on dedicated Centric Premium blanks - before I install them, is this a good combination for this chassis?

Everything else on the car is stock (except for the brake fluid).

I was running about 32-33 cold, never checked hot since I was too busy (working the event) to do back to back sessions anyways. I'd probably start lower next time though, probably 30 or so is what I'll try next. Some of the guys that have tracked these a lot already like Matt Andrews would probably be able to answer this better.

I didn't run the camber bolts (had them, just couldn't find them at the time to install them), my alignment was:
L R
Front Camber
-1.0 -1.2

Front Toe
0.01d 0.02d (.03 total)

Rear Camber
-2.7 -2.3

Rear Toe
.12d .12d (.24 total)

I requested 0 front and .12 each in the rear.

With this setup the car did push a little, it wasn't bad and I made it conservative on purpose due to Mid Ohio's more dangerous nature and my unfamiliarity with the car and the new springs.

That's what I ran, except without new rotors and not pre bedded. They worked well, although the rears did not get very hot. I suspect an EBD bias issue there and I'm not sure if running a more, or less, agressive rear pad would be better. Not enough experience yet, but with those pads and ATE Super Blue fluid (or better) I ran into zero brake problems.

Thanks dave, good info. Mid Ohio looks like a fun track - I've wanted to run there for years.

I have seen several people post that the rear brakes run cool - maybe the best setup is to use the lightweight unvented JDM rotors...

Lol that's about the amount of crap I bring to an auto-x! Except in place of beer I bring an EZ-up and folding chairs so we can all chill in the shade when in between runs and course work. Yay for the MR2 having two trunks, but I bet the BRZ is even better!

I've never had Yuengling, I've heard it's only really "just OK" but it's a regional thing. Kind of like when I go to PA I get Iron City; it's not "good" by any means but you can only get it in the PA/OH area. New England is full of amazing breweries so I can count myself lucky for that

OK, back on topic! *Goes off to pour a glass of Opa Opa Raspberry Wheat*
