I dont have any CELs either. The idle dips when the a/c clutch turns on and I have chirping, but nothing else.

I know in the LS1/2/3/4/6/7/9 crowd, most tuners won't touch a car without a MAF "screen/honeycomb," because the air is so turbulent that it throws off MAF readings, thus affecting the tune.
I bet something like this in the intake pipe would reduce or eliminate the bog: |

I think the ID is 2.5-2.75, but I could be wrong. I didn't have my calipers on me when I installed it.

2.70-2.75", my dial calipers don't reach all the way in down in to the throat of the velocity stack.

Took @Sony for a ride in the car last night with the AIRAID. He got to witness the hesitation first hand. In addition, the car also decided to cut power for him too. Took off from a stop, 1-2 was fine, shifted from 2-3 and bam... no power at 2250 RPM. Car started sputtering and losing speed. I'm going to see if I can fab up some kind of removable straightener and see if it makes a difference. If I can't get this solved, I will officially be @AJUSA.com 's first returned product. But not before I do a complete review with photos, dynos, videos and a more in-depth article about driving experience. I have the aFe coming in very soon so I'll be pitting these two head to head. |
