Anyone headed down south the the pstoc car show in Tacoma @ griots garage? I'm headed down with some mr2 folks. Should have my intake( went with injen ) and Toyota emblems installed by the weekend ( show is this Sunday, I'm sure you can find some details by googling pstoc )

Hey everyone, just need to ask you all a question.
I was detailing my car when I came across this, was wondering if this is true for all our cars.
In this picture you notice the black plastic piece that sits on top of the rear tail lights? Do yours have that much room at the side and at the top? There is enough room for me to put my finger in there. Was just wondering if it should be flushed, or if not, why isn't it? I'm concerned leaves, etc. might get in that's all.

Thank you in advance.

i wouldn't be concerned with that... the tail lights are sealed to the trunk via gaskets on the mounting surface... that's all just for decoration... that area is designed to have water channel thru there...

Wish they would have a filter there...especially if you were to park under a tree...

Yeah, not sure if that was the cause of this but I have a very small leaf stuck inside my taillights. Not a big deal, but it still bothers me

Yes water pass through the gap. Every time I wash my car I see water come through the taillight. No worry.

Hey, just wondering if there is anyone else here who will be going to UBC this year. If so, PM me and we can meet up sometime.
