I find my New Balance minimus sneakers do a good job as driving shoes.

Skateboarding shoes definitely the way to go if you ask me - you feel everything through these shoes

If you're using this car as a daily driver commuter and have to wear dress shoes, these are very nice http://www.shoestation.com/bostonian...kkbhjg/product Super comfy, super light weight and allows for good pedal feel due to the fairly soft sole...I hate driving in hard soled dress shoes.

Really liked my old Osiris shoes from years ago. I now have a pair of Clarks that I loved enough to just about wear out the sole. Unfortunately they've discontinued them or I'd order another set. Thinking about their driver mocs now though, since I could wear them to work as well and my dressier work shoes are about in need of replacing.
But normally if I'm out driving, low top Converse. |

I used indoor soccer shoes (had them) and later bought wrestling shoes for years before they wore out and decided to get "real" driving shoes. I have Pilotis I use if its just for street driving or a driving school. If I'm competing, then I use a pair of Puma Drift Cats that are wearing out and will need to be replaced.

Comfy good pedal feel with Chuck Taylors. Nothing fancy.
