Is the auto tranny from a isf?

I know someone that thinks the auto tranny is from a modified isf tranny. Though i remember seeing somewhere in a thread saying that the tranny is more closely from a is 200.

Correct.

Its a next gen trans that was based/sourced from several other automatics used in Toyota (Lexus) RWD platforms. I think the IS350 has the most in common with it.

One of the better auto trans i've owned. I had a VW GLI with the DSG which was awesome i consider this one 8/10 of the performance of that with better low speed manners.

AFAIK its NOT an ISF 8 speed box with 2 gears lopped off.

Its an existing autobox with shift programming based off the ISF.

And i have to say its pretty damn good.
If you've ever used older automatics with paddle shifters or having to use the gear lever to flick up/down (Anything before the Lexus ISF came out) those were horrid to use.

click > lag > shifts

The ISF/FRS/BRZ

You click and it shifts almost instantly. The response is what makes them great. And they shift pretty damn fast too.
