By the time Subaru releases a 274bhp version of the BRZ, we will already have the mods to get 274bhp. Probably cheaper than the STi version too. 274 - 20% = 219whp.

nah, I'm happy with the BRZ/GT86 as it is.

After all toyota did hint that they are going to produce a descendant to the supra, and that will solve all our problems.

Seriously enough with the GT-R misconceptions...the computer wizardry in the GT-R doesnt drive the freaking car for you like the Mclaren. The computers compensate for the weight of the car and the power application to the ground, not to mention some stuff that counters massive body roll. Beyond that the car is every bit worthy of last years #2 position and this years #3 position. Maybe you should drive one before making assumptions.

I would love to have the AMG C63 Black Series but since every single one brought to the US has been spoken for...well i guess I'm SOL. That leaves the Porsche and the GT-R as the only real contenders in the realm of "almost affordable" cars as $100,000 is pretty much about as much as I would ever truly consider spending on my automotive hobby. I would probably end up with the GT-R over the Porsche but who knows I saw a Carrerra S in White and was extremely impressed with the looks but that being said I could never leave a car stock for long and the GT-R has a substantial aftermarket already in place...

But for now my little FR-S is my ride of choice and hopefully this time next year will be sitting pretty at 400+ HP!!!

If that becomes the case in the future, and if the next 'Supra' should continue with a similar driver's car theme as the FR-S / BRZ, then that may likely be my next car (and if the price is fair). We'll see how that goes though...

Moreover, I really enjoyed watching MT's 2012 Best Driver's Car video / review. It's nice that MT appreciated the BRZ for what it honestly is.

I'm not a big fan of the new 911, but it surely has my respect for how it has stepped it up with the new changes compared to the last generation. Congrats to Porsche for the victory and accomplisment.

Don't know why, but the McLaren MP4-12C tends to get my blood pumping the most... That's just from what I see, but it may not give as much satisfaction to the individual who's looking to be more one with the car after driving and getting a feel of it in actuality.

At the end, I'm always looking for my next car... And although it was truly entertaining to watch each of the 9 cars perform in the test... I don't see myself owning any one of them specifically in reality, except the BRZ twin I already possess. I'm very appreciative of owning my FR-S.

Stellar results from the BRZ!! The right significant power adder will certainly be on my list in the next couple of years. The aftermarket is going to be crazy on these cars so we need not be concerned about current power levels.

Well, can safely say not too many people get to enjoy such a renowned car as a first car and first time owner.

I have a feeling I will hold onto this car for many years to come.

But there haven't really been any big updates to them since their release. Obviously some updated cars like the GT500 have significant changes compared to prior models of the same bodystyle. Don't get me wrong, I would've liked to have seen either of those cars in it, but the 1-Series M was already in last year's competition, but I don't think we're missing out on anything with it not having been involved. I'm sure Car & Driver will do a new BMW comparison where it finishes in first place.

Street legal in every state? Smog legal, when that time comes? With a valid warranty, just in case something goes wrong (which is much more likely with the first model year releases)? With everything else upgraded to match a more powerful engine?
