Its best drivers car, not track car. Most of those cars are terrible to drive on the regular anyways.
Note that I am only predicting how Randy will rate them on the track.

I thought under steer is a good thing on the 86/FR-S. You have to have under steer for controllable + predictable overseer. Basically under steer gives you more feedback when you go sideways and doesn't it inspire more confidence when driving harder?

You can't really compare which is faster the 86/FR-S or the BZR. The suspension set-up may be faster under certain conditions and the driving style for the driver may be better with a particular setup. Even pro racing drivers have their own taste about suspension setups.

Based on the above. It's really bad they are only using one race driver. As Randy may prefer a certain style of driving to another, thus the suspension and steering setup would change his overall opinion. For instance he says he likes the light steering of the Merc, I fall asleep in any car that has light steering.

Man, when I call it, I call it. And I've driven all the vehicles to base my opinion - oh wait, that's not right. I've only driven the BRZ, and not on a track. Wild Azz Guess? Yeah, I'll take that. Can't wait for the official results.

Surprised how nice the Camaro was on the track.

Just like hi end audio and expensive camera, Leica, Krell etc, paying 2 to 5 times more can be only "slightly better", if there is any mismatch, misadjust, misuse, the outcome of e pensive gear can be worse. Anyway, for me, BRZ already won!

The full article is up with the complete rankings:

2012 Motortrend Best Drivers Car

There are 10 pages, counting down the rankings so I wont ruin the results for you.

Good read, MT did a decent job justifying the rankings.

A very well written article. The winner isn't a surprise.

Good article and also not too surprised but was interesting to see the C63 number two, most car mags seem to hate on Mercedes performance cars.

Also interesting they mention a 274 HP turbo BRZ, but maybe that's an old rumor I haven't heard before.

I know that part caught my attention as well... They seem quite confident about it based on that statement. I guess the we play the waiting game. My only hope is that it is a 2015 model, so I don't have to be filled with quite so much regret for early adoption.

As far as the test goes, I think the BRZ faired quite well in comparison to what they were testing. We beat the McLaren, that's impressive! I loooove that car
