Yeah, he was grinning ear to ear driving that 991! Now I want one! (but for a fraction of the price, I'm happy to go home at night with the runner up...)

Maybe on this track, yes. I have never driven on it, but I get I would give him a run for his money in AutoX or my "local" raceway in a GTR.

I am not saying he isn't a great driver, it just looks like he was taking it easy a bit. I expected the GTR to be right there with the Lambo.

For 2009, Randy returns to K-Pax/3R Racing to defend his two consecutive Speed World Challenge GT Class championships, but in a Volvo Touring Car instead of a Porsche GT3 (K-Pax/3R switched to Volvo for this season). Additionally, Randy will race for Gotham Racing at the 2009 24 Hours of Daytona in a Porsche GT.
so now tell me what you have done that makes you think you could give Pobst a run for his money in any car

Maybe it says something about the car......on paper should hang with the lambo, but in reality the exectution isnt as polished as the lambo?

I remember the last comparo with the LFA (which was highly praised everywhere as a track monster) and he didnt seem to like it much (maybe it was too extreme?) I believe it came in like 8th or something.

Just wanted to repost this quote from Randy:
Quote:
... it's costing time in corners for sure. You just have to wait, wait, wait on the power. It was kinda frustrating because there's so much potential in every other way.
Sounds like he really had to ease off the throttle to prevent understeer.

A fact people don't know or forget, Randy is a six time SCCA Solo National Champion. He does know how to autocross better than most.

The GTR was only .9 seconds behind the Lambo. The lambo has 150 more HP, 50ft-lbs more torque, is 400lbs LIGHTER, and also has AWD for ultimate grip.

So no, the GTR shouldn't really be close to the lambo at all. What's amazing is that IT IS.

Not disagreeing with you but the 13 GT-R is actually AWD and 220 lbs lighter than the Aventador.

GT-R that's why I love you, you're a $400,000 dollar driving experience/performance in a $100,000 package.

now only if we could get a $100,000 dollar experience in a $30,000 dollar package...oh wait....my BRZ...

I know it's AWD, and no it's not lighter. MotorTrend published incorrect weights.

I misread this as "If only we could get a $100,000 dollar experience in a $300,000 dollar package" and thought "hmmm, LF-A anyone?"
