Yeah, probably will happen eventually.

Here's a excerpt of that thread I was talking about.

What happened? There's a couple of things. I'm by no way discrediting your friend or Toyota technicians. I am simply posting this information for others to see so they do not make a common mistake with installing our spring kit or other spring kits.

We found out the hard way that if you zap off the factory top nut with an impact gun that you can actually spin the shaft internally causing it to click. If you spin the shaft too far this will cause the shaft to come disassembled internally and could, over time, cause the shock to leak. There is a special tool that needs to be used to lock the shaft from spinning when assembling and disassembling the front suspension.

That looks sexy. I'm kind of on the fence about the 5Axis kit but I think it works more with certain colors and wheels than others. Maybe I've just seen too many pics of the cars kitted but with stock wheels.

Trust me. I'm sick of these stock wheels. Mine will finally be installed Saturday.

I didn't mean the size/material. I just meant the slight subtle design differences, like the red cap.

Wheels arrived at the dealership today. Finally.

Taking the stock wheels to swap the sensors on Saturday. I'll have pics on Saturday, but it's VERY likely the car will be torn apart in the front so I'll just take rear/side shots.

Looks like the dealer effed up, AGAIN, you might need to contact Five Axis about that.

Yup. The installers just need to take their time and follow the damn directions. I see others on here without issues so I know it's possible to have a kit that doesn't pull away. Seems like the problem spots are in front of the doors and the spoiler at the outside edges. A new kit is coming for my car due to damage by one of the installations where instructions were disregarded and urethane was used to attach the kit and now I need paintwork to the car too . Ekset with Five:AD has been very helpful through this process but the dealerships just didn't perform well. We'll see how installation #4 goes in a couple weeks. I don't think I have it in me to try for a 5th time if it doesn't stick to the car.

As digital_assassin mentioned, FIVE:AD has run into a few instances where installing dealerships have not properly followed the installation instructions for the FR-S aero kit/spoiler, causing the parts to be mis-aligned. Also, the adhesion promoter is a very important step to ensure proper install of parts that we have found some dealers are not using the promoter. There are clear index points on the vehicle for the parts that must be met, and if aligned properly with the adhesion promoter, the parts fit spot on.

If you happen to have an issue with a mis-aligned part OR an issue with adhesion for a part where the 3M tape is used, please contact FIVE:AD directly at info@fivead.net. Provide us with your info, along with your installing dealers info. A FIVE:AD representative will contact you and the dealership to help coordinate having the part install corrected.

Thanks!

That does not sound right at all. Please contact us directly at info@fivead.net and we will ensure to reach out to your dealership to help get this resolved the right way.

Thanks!

@fluffy-reindeer-slayer - I feel your pain man. Only let your original dealer work on the car and with help from Five:AD they'll get it right. This is unfortunately some of the issues with being an "early adopter".
