Those prices are 100% on par with the Bullet SC kit. Aussie product seems to be falling between $6k in a box to around <$10k drive away tuned The exception being AVO who have indicated that sub $4k for their turbo kit

I'm glad there are plenty of people who are making these kits, and plenty of people who are happy to pay the current price for it though. It's just too expensive and unproven for me. |

From what Dale @ Castle Hill has said, there is a lot more in the kit than people seem to be giving credit for. He will have a full list of parts included tomorrow. But from what I can tell, the turbo, oil pump, ecu, hoses, connectors etc, is already taking a substantial chunk of that payment, add to that research time, tuning, etc, it seems fairly reasonable. You will get hundreds of kids spending $1700 on an exhaust, that gets them 4-5kw, yet people complain about $7k-9k that will DOUBLE your power output?!!

Also, 160whp to 280whp isn't quite double, and the kit isn't "7k-9k" it's 10k installed. Sure, let Dale and the rest of the developers of these kits get theirs, if you invest the time and effort to develop one of the first kits then you can price it as you please. The reason people are taken aback at the price is because the time and research is factored into the cost, early adopters fee. 10k in other car circles will get you a lot goddamn further in the power department, and thats what people are used to (I expect). Honestly though, the kit looks sick and 10k for a drive in drive out solution is pretty fucking tempting. Ill probably go see him in 6 months eitherway

I was next door at Insane Car Audio a few weeks back when those guys told me that the boys next door were tuning one for a Turbo.
Glad to see it's coming along nicely! I might drop in and pay them a visit tomorrow as I work in Castle Hill. |

You show me an australian Dyno that got 160rwhp. You are mixing USA and AUS numbers there. I got 108rwkw, mz21 got 106rwkw on stock cars on dyno dynamics dynos. Can't just switch numbers depending on which point one wants to prove. Compare the before/after figures on the same dyno. And yes, initially items are priced higher when they are new. This goes for nearly everything in life, whether it be this years Calvin Klein socks, versus last seasons designs, or a turbo kit for your 86/FR-S. At any rate, I am liking seeing all these options pop up. There are no doubt pros and cons to each, and eventually there will be a middle ground found. If I had unlimited budget, this is what I would like :P Twincharged!!

Yeah I think we agree on this topic, kit looks great and I'm happy to see somebody local to me offering this option. This is getting offtopic, but if I had an unlimited budget I'd put a 20B in there

Let's just chock up the difference in output to the fact that AUS horses are much stronger than US horses, and it takes fewer of them to make the car faster :P.
I'm pretty sure they could get great output utilizing the factory computer, the use of the Haltech perplexes me. Are there benefits to the Haltech unit? |

The haltech can do flex fuel sensor - meaning that it can adjust the tune based on the ethanol content. I personally am going EcuTek for the sake of not needing to rewire the car, however it will be limited until the following options are (hopefully) available: * Flex Fuel sensor * Boost control
