I know I should have probably asked this before I bought mine, but has anyone tried to fit it to an Auto Tranny yet? I installed mine today and I couldn't get the bolt hole for the front pipe to line up. I just removed the bracket for now. The pipe is hitting the tranny fluid pan, but I can only hear it chattering every once in a while.

You can kinda see in the circle where it is touching. Any recommendations?

Other than that, this is one sweet sounding exhaust!!

Same problem, personally, I didn't think they took account of A/T they only have a manual. This is a definite problem.

I'm not seeing your exhaust options on your company page anymore. Have the products been pulled/sales temporarily suspended?

Edit: Nvm found them.

Is there a possibility in getting that fixed before mailing mine out?

I also have a Auto Trans FRS , and after spending 5 hours monkeying with the exhaust on a hoist I have the same problem . The pipe is ON the trans pan and the hanger does not line up . I used my digital thermometer on the pipe and trans pan and was getting a reading of 425 -------- NOT GOOD. The trans fluid is probably boiling from the pipe . The R & D on this system was done on a manual trans car NOT automatic . Those of you that have a auto trans need to wait untill a FIX is found.

Also I had to figure out that i had to remove the lower engine mount nuts and jack the engine up 2 inches to get the old / new "hump " pipe in after removing all of the belly pans .

I didn't remove mine, just loosened it a little bit....then again, I'm a 6MT so auto's look like you'd have to remove it.

I had the same problem myself on the Auto FRS downpipe in the turbo kit. I didn't take into account the auto was that much wider. I'm afraid its a whole different pipe. Its not a simple bump this, nudge that.

I was able to get it out by unbolting and removing the heat shield on the overpipe

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I did not get to reply to this post earlier regarding the auto trans.

It is absolutely true that we did not test this in an auto trans vehicle. With the rarity of these cars and how much pressure we had from MANY of you to get the exhaust released this was a BIG thing that was bypassed and overlooked. That is a mistake in our part and we do apologize for it.

Ok with that said. I will need one of you auto guys to get me a couple of pics directly from under the car with our piping in place and email it to sales@swiftracing.com so I can see/verify exactly how we need to redo the front mid pipe, from looking at how far it is from the hanger it is not such a big change. All we have to do is remove the front most bend where it touches and divide it into two bends and separate them further apart. We will replace all the auto front midpipes that were shipped with the new redesigned ones and ship along with a return label for the non working version. It will NOT take us that long to get them done at all we should be able to take care of it by weeks end.

FOR ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE NOT RECEIVED TRACKING NUMBERS YET AND HAVE AUTO CARS: YOU MUST LET US KNOW IMMEDIATELY THAT YOU HAVE AN AUTO TRANS EQUIPPED VEHICLE EITHER VIA PM OR EMAIL sales@swiftracing.com

Once again we sincerely apologize to the auto trans equipped customers that found this out the hard way and we will make it right for you not only by replacing the part to the correct part BUT we will also give you an additional discount on a future part ordered from us. Thanks.
