I love the level of steering response in this car. Not even the slightest hesitation between steering input and response.
If you shift the weight around correctly (make sure that the tires are loaded correctly bfore entering a turn) you can corner extremely quickly while keeping car neutral and absolutely planted with very little effort. Upgrading to average summer tires raises the level of available grip immensely. If you overcook the entry speed it'll understeer like any other car. If you overcook it on entry and don't have your wits about you then too sudden of a lift off the throttle or too much steering input can sometimes cause the rear to come out on you. FWD drivers be warned. Still, it's generally pretty easy to catch in time. Lifting off the throttle too quick in the middle of a fast speed sweeper will also cause the back and to go light amd possibly step out. Pretty typical RWD behaviour - you just need to respect that and modulate your inputs. Again, FWD and AWD drivers beware. I've found that it's pretty easy to get the tail to come out if you provoke it with sudden, aggressive steering inputs and throttle changes. Pretty easy to drift it that way - no E brake or clutch kick required. It's pretty easy to catch and maintain slides too, at least until you run out of speed or power. 2nd gear and a big empty parking lot = huge grins. It's possible for the back to come out in slaloms and when powering out of tight corners too but nothing scary. Only way I see anybody getting I to trouble is of they're coming from a fast AWD or FWD car and immediately try to drive it to the limit. The car demands a little respect and practice like any FWD car but it's certainly one of the better ones out there - pretty easy and rewarding to learn. You need to work a little to earn speed in this car, it's not given to you for free. Personally I like that about it.

Is your sole purpose here just to piss in everyone's cornflakes? I understand where you're coming from, but really...don't you have anything better to do? Were you appointed by this forum owner to police all the hype and exaggerations? It just seems like an exercise in futility...

Idk y everyone says the tail kicks out. I used to have a 99 miata & I'd drift it all the time. (I never use the e brake to initiate the drift thou) & good god w this car its so hard to predict when the tail is gonna lose grip. Even w the stock 215's it grips beyond belief. I ended up learning the hard way that I've got to change techniques to drift this car. I used to intentionally downshift w out heel toe to upset the balance of the miata. Did it in this car & it spun me out & had to redo my alignment. & since its new, I had to do a custom alignment. There isn't a update yet.

I don't need to. Clearly you like to argue with people over the internet. It seems as if almost all your posts is just a reply disagreeing with someone. Whether you are right or not, do you really think someone is going to change their opinion just because of you?
![]() It's the internet, nobody cares what you think...unless they agree with you. |
