Exactly... Back seats are not very good for adults, but are reasonable for my two small kids... One of the great reasons why the FR-S works out better for my lifestyle compared to my previous 2011 MX-5.

My 8 year old fits just fine back there. He's why I needed backseats in the first place.

Friends are welcome to take their own car. Nobody wants to ride with me anyway, since I consider it my mission in life to light up the traction control light as often as possible.

Yep! I'd had an S2000 already if it had some form of backseat. Same with the Miata... BRZ/FRS for the win!

Have you tried driving an iQ with three people in the car? It's weird. The passenger is seated in front of the driver.
Neat little car for what it is though, much better than the smart fortwo.

The seat proportions in the 86 is just right.

How much does the back seat weigh anyway? Probably going to remove it too.

Hahahe... Love the S2000, but by the time I built up enough motivation to get a true 2 seat sports car, a new S2000 was discontinued... Oh well, the MX-5 took that place and I had to move away from it within a year anyway.

You're right... BRZ / FR-S for the WIN!

I have twin 13 yo girls that are 5'3" (im only 5'6") and a 7 yo boy that has to sit in a Booster seat...and they are happy with the new car cause there is actually leg room compared to my 240sx. Wife (also 5'6") said BS and tried it out...then agreed. Those are the only people that NEED to be considered IMO...if friends need to go somewhere Bad enough to get in my backseat they deserve to be uncomfortable for not planning better...

And for the record, there's more headroom in this car (somehow) than the new Genesis Coupe. At least from what I saw at the auto show.

This is the thing about the car that upsets me most when calling it a successor the AE86. I could seat 4 people in my 86, AND cram the hatch full of cargo.
