Some of those cars shouldn't even be considered a driver's car, IMHO. GTR a driver's car?

What about the Miata, Boxster/Cayman, or a GT3?

Edit: Is this for '12 cars? If so, the Cayman R would take the win!

Personally, what I find most incredible about this, is how at home the BRZ looks among those cars.

actually the brz has a very very good chance on winning this.if you guys pay attention he mention that is not about hp or who makes the fastest lap and he compares the brz with the aventador and says one is a better drivers car than the other and it has nothing to do with horsepower of course hes referring to the brz so imo top 3 for BRZ.

Miata is old that's why it was not included. The BRZ\FRS has replaced the Miata as the new cheap RWD drivers car. We await the next generation MX5. The new Boxster was not included because a 911 was included instead. Just like Nissan supplied the GTR instead of the Nismo 370Z.

Remember they had to coordinate with the manufacturers to pull this off..

A GTR is a drivers car, why do people still not get that...

Your right that it is only for cars that were either new in '12 or in the case of the GT-R majorly upgraded in '12. The Miata didn't get a new version this year so they weren't included. The Cayman R was released last year and was in last years test. They said Porsche was unable to get them a GT3 RS for the test and they claim the new Boxster wasn't available in the US when they actually did this test. Same excuse with the Viper, M5, and F12. They also said they invited the Italia but Ferrari couldn't get them one.
Hope that clears up a little what this test actually is. Can't wait to see the result.

I agree with you on the GTR. Just because it's big and heavy and an automatic doesnt mean it doesnt handle and have dynamics of a "driver's car". That thing can be both a cruiser AND a driver's car. The people that mislabelled the GTR is because they haven't driven one...they go by the paper specs....wrong. Because that's is exactly what the haters said about the FRS/BRZ..."wat?? only 200HP?? Can't be a driver's car!"

I don't consider the GTR a driver's car because anyone can put down fast laptimes with the car. Unlike a driver's car (i.e. Elise) where you actually need some skill to drive fast. Or in other words, the car can be slow or fast depending on the driver not the car's attributes - power, electronics, etc. However, there is no denying the GTR's performance... it's amazing!! Having said that, the GTR is not for me (the total opposite), I'd take a 200hp FR-S.
