Re: scion drive monitor

I know it has info on mpg and temp etc, but does it include information on the range of the car with current fuel ? Thanks.

You can hit the ODO button 2 or 3 times and you get ODO A and ODO B. If you hold down the ODO button, you can reset A and B (make sure you only reset A and B, not the overall counter). If you reset it when you get a fresh tank of gas, you can get your range on that tank of gas. Is that what you were asking for?

I believe hes asking if the car would show how many miles you have left to the tank. My Infiniti would show how many miles are left before you need to fill the tank again.

Yeah I was asking about this.
Kinda sucks that almost all new cars have this but not the frs. I thought even ther scion have this feature. Oh well, thanks for the reply.

I realize this is an older thread but here goes anyway! Those numbers are always a guesstimate anyway and depend on how hard or easy you've been driving, so you should never fully trust them just use them as a ballpark.

You can still get a good ballpark really by resetting your trip A or B and average MPG every time you fill up, then just pay attention to it a few times to get a good idea. For example I just went 322 miles before filling up, and then it took 11.7 gallons of fuel (tank holds 13.2). My average MPG was 29 and as you can see with those variables I still had some time to go before running out. So after you've done this a few times you can start to gauge it pretty well, if I hit 300 miles but my avg MPG is 25 then I know I floored it more often and likely won't make it to 322 like last time, etc (I didn't really do any math there, just an example). Just don't run out of gas while trying to find that outer limit, and pay attention to where your needle is when you mark these variables down for a good rough idea as well.
