Currently my MX5 is my DD. If I get the Toyobaru, it'd be a DD and I'd probably keep the MX5 as a toy.

The reason I'm considering the Toyobaru is that I have two boys and I'm finding there are too many times when I can't use the MX5 (and have to drive my wife's practical, but boring FWD car).

If I didn't need the rear seat, I'd keep using the MX5 for everything as it's automotive bliss.

Not FR but light and "fun"

My Miata only gets around 3000 miles a year right now. If I got the FR-S, I'd probably get rid of the Miata. Daily driver's a company work truck.

Hello as my first post on this forum might as well share my love of my two babies. With as you would guess a third coming sometime in the future hopefully. My car choices were always between Toyota and Mitsubishi.

My first love/car, the 1996 3000GT. Shes been a machine ever since I bought her, felt like a superstar every time I drove her and never caused me any grief, even after all the abuse, she always came back for more :P Most reliable car I've owned and never sold in Canada so that made it a rare sight in my city.

And the sleeper and replacement daily driver for the 3000GT which did the job amazingly well, I went with a 2007 Toyota Camry SE V6. Faster than any car of this class needs to be really, with a 0-60 time surprisingly equaling that of a 350z stock for stock. Returns almost 4 cylinder mpg with regular grade fuel, aggressive styling and roomy interior equals perfect sporty daily driver despite the reputation. I love the Engine in this car, its about 75% why I bought it, the 2GR-FE, same as used in the Lotus Evora. I always talk praise of my particular Camry because it deserves it due to the past reputation from the older models.

So onto my next point..... This is the engine that should have been used in the FT-86 instead of the subaru imo, to me its the single biggest turnoff for me. This powerplant would fit perfectly with the FT-86 just like in the Evora, smooth, strong, reliable and remarkably efficient. Putting FT-86 power near 300 without turbocharging using an existing and proven Toyota engine. I'm not a huge subie fan (Mitsubishi pwns them :P) and having a foreign subaru engine in my toyota feels wrong. Heres hoping for a 2GR V6 model in the lineup.

I was thinking of mixing it up in the future with an FT-86 replacing my 3000GT as the sports coupe and an awd Lancer Ralliart replacing my Camry SE V6 as the DD 4-door but we will see if there is room for three in my garage. I still love my babies...

I drive a GenCoupe 2.0t.

It's been a fun ass car to drive and abuse. It can really take a beating. Many many canyon nights pushing the limits of the engine. A few good 5 drift days. Daily driven for 2 years with 68k+ miles to date. Never had a single issue with either my motor or transmission. Self maintnance.

Can't wait for this sucker of a scion to arrive.
