I'm loving this thing. It now builds revs quicker and just SMACKS redline. E85 ftmfw.

First post, woot! John, any data on realized mpg with E85? I know that a calculation can be made, but wanted to get a sense if you have actual numbers. Given that the tune will effect mileage as well a calculation may or may not be close.

Been following intently, very impressive. Super interested, but it might take me a bit to convince the wife to let me spend even more money on a car (she just doesn't get it).

On the dyno chart at lower rpms the E85 is making ~5% more power, so maybe for a start, 71% the mpg of gasoline * 1.05 = 74.55% ? At part load the difference might be smaller because charge temperature is a bigger deal at full throttle.

Hey, quick question about map switching.

In order to do it, do we need to have the cable and a pc with us to do it, or will there be some trick cruise control stalk combo?

At the moment you can switch maps via the ecutek cable. Map switching through the stalk is in development.

It'd be really cool if ECUTek worked out a way to take advantage of the iPad Camera Kit's USB adapter. If they could do that, then they could develop an iOS app to perform basic reflashes, code pulls, that sort of thing.

Kind of adding a bit of the Cobb AP functionality without ECUTek having to develop new hardware, just software.

2 questions

Did you say you are working on a flexfuel tune when you get time?

Will the on the fly map switching be a free or paid upgrade?

Ya I haven't had great experiences with great MPG on E85 tunes. Expect a drastic decrease in mileage, both from the extra fuel being used, and the grin on your face.

If you are getting 30mpg, expect 20mpg on E85.
