There's no dent. Just those "spots" which are like chips (kinda deep) and those scratches on the bottom.

I'm thinking of DrChipColor touch up paint
Good deal

Sorry that you have to go through this, though. I wish people would treat other's property with a bit more respect.

If it was just one or two chips/scratches, then I think Dr. Colorchip would be fine, but it looks like there's at least 5 discrete chips/scratches there.

I'd take that to the body shop and have them fix that professionally. It's a brand new car and $350 isn't horrendous.

Looks like a shopping cart did it. Some idiot in a minivan loaded it up with $400 worth of groceries and just let the fucking thing roll away instead of losing a couple of pounds by walking it back to the cart location. Lazy asses.
Sorry about that, went off on a tangent there. Too bad about the car though, that's big enough to get fixedf in my opinion.

You can't. It's not possible. It's the LAW. Period. No ticket will ever ever ever ever be issued for this.

does that law go for dirt roads too??????????/

Some people believe that you can’t get a traffic ticket in a parking lot, especially if that parking lot is privately owned, such as by a mall or a church. Each state determines their own laws on when moving violations can be cited, but there are certain hard and fast rules that apply to both publicly owned and privately owned parking lots. First, you can certainly get parking tickets, though some people class these as separate from traffic tickets, and you can even have your car towed if you park illegally or in spaces designated for the disabled when you don’t have the appropriate tags.

Second, you can almost always get a traffic ticket in a parking lot, and be cited for other crimes if you are driving intoxicated. You may also receive a traffic ticket in a parking lot if you hit another car and try to escape. This is hit and run, or at minimum “leaving the scene of an accident,” and if you cause an accident in a parking lot and leave the scene, you have violated that law.

That's cool. You can search the internet. I'm not getting into it. If you tried to get the police to write a citation for this they won't. They (should) have much better things to do. I'm just trying to save the OP from wasting tons of time/effort/energy on an already disappointing situation.

While that may be true, if you have video evidence of the person hitting your car, you can sue the driver (or person pushing the shopping cart) in small claims to collect on damages.

Well, there's no video evidence anyway!

Still deliberating using touch up or fixing it =/

Definitely sucks for sure...
But if just paint chipped off without bumper damage, I would just touch up the few spots and it won't be visible to most people. And you can't see it from the best seat in the house.
But if you are going to lose sleep over it, get it redone. Or if you like any of the body kit that replaces the front bumper.

The guy said that he will be doing only that side of the bumper.

Should I be worried about a color mismatch?
