Hit and Run in parking lot

Even though I always park miles away so stuff like this won't happen. Someone managed to hit the side of my front bumper while pulling out.

It really bummed me out. Car is only 15 days old :(

Any tips/advice? I showed it to a guy at a local body shop and he said he could fix it for me for 350$. Friends recommend just using touch-up paint since damage to the bumper is inevitable and to just fix it when there's a lot of damage.

Any advice? :(

I'd just touch it up and deal with it when there's more damage.

People are such assholes. Sorry to see that, man! I'd get it fixed, and put a clear bra on it so if it happens again the damage will be limited to the bra and not the paint.

I already have one like that too from when someone grazed me in a parking lot.

Personally I am just going to leave it, it's going to get plenty of cone marks on the bumper anyway from AutoX!

First off he was quoted $350 to fix it anyway, insurance deductible is prob higher than that and why make a claim to make your premiums go up for $350? Save the claim for something REAL big!

Second, even if they have video what are you going to do? It's a parking lot and no on can be ticketed and there is pretty much nothing you can do.

Touch up paint is probably ok. If there's a dent, there are minor fixes there. If it's just the bumper, is it a urethane bumper or metal? If it's plastic, then you've got little to worry about. If it's metal and the scratches went down to metal, I'd have it re-done to avoid rust concerns.

People that can't drive are turds, people that can't drive and leave the scene of an accident are just plain human garbage.

It's plastic! That's what a friend said too "It's just the plastic, don't worry about it"

There's no dent. Just those "spots" which are like chips (kinda deep) and those scratches on the bottom.

I'm thinking of DrChipColor touch up paint

It's not a road, no one can be cited. It's on the owner of the car to fix the damage... or not.

Sorry, shit sucks!

Third of all.. alright Mr cop that's fine.. then he can get it fixed then for $350

I'm just saying, if it was my car i would at least looked at video, and at least tried to figure out who hit my car.

And at least try to get a ticket towards the person, and i dont really care that it is a parking lot.

Dude I feel your pain, got my car for less then 2 weeks and a lady rear end my bumper. Her insurance paid for it, then today I notice some ass hit my corner panle , good thing is no paint damage only 2 dents. Luckily when I purchased this car, the dealer sold me a warranty package that covers all dent under 2"
