So far I called my dealer and they said prob not but will look into it. I spoke with customer service annd no luck there. I emailed the senior tech guy who had the engineers work on my vehicle hoping he has more pull since I've been screwed by scion like twice already

I don't believe the rebate applies if you are buying the car outright.

That's why you finance something stupid like 2k and then pay it off immediately. No early payment penalty.

Meanwhile, over at Subaru...

"Maybe we should have a college graduate program."
"Yes, like Scion, let's have a $1000 disc..."
"Woah? What? No. Instead of a discount, let's give them the opportunity to buy our cars."
"But no discount?"
"Correct."
"Isn't that..."
"Exactly the same as for everyone else? Absolutely."
"And anything for military pers..."
"Nope."
"So I'm guessing the Subaru VIP program doesn't include..."
"The WRX or the BRZ, that's right."
"But why?"

Also at subaru they don't have pure pricing and will negotiate with you. Honestly even with the 1k rebate, it doesnt do a ton. I think with the rebate I was still $27k and change (With tax title and license). My friend bought a Limited BRZ (msrp 28,5?) and he paid 30 and change including the $1500 extended warranty (with tax title and license). So his car should have been $30k and change not including tax title and license. He got roughly a $2500-3000 discount. That would be unheard of on the scions.

[QUOTE=Tanuki;376741]Did you use toyota financing? This offer is only in conjunction with Toyota Financing. They have pretty reasonable rates right now (I think I am 3.1%?), but yeah the Rebate is only available with them as your bank. QUOTE]

Yeah, the college rebate is an in-writing policy that joins the $1000 rebate to those that either purchase outright ie. writing a check for the full amount or by utilizing their financing through Toyota Financial Services.
