My passenger window still has an issue. I think its the switch , but the cell phone on the seat issue is resolved.

Wait, what? That's the first that has been mentioned, are you sure about that?

Hmm, so do I have to ask for the DRL delete to get the new ECU? I would prefer to keep the DRL but would like a couple of the customized settings as well as the passenger window working better and the passenger seatbelt sensor being less annoying (apparently that is fixed as well?).

the only way you can get the new ECU opening a warranty claim with the DRL TSB

once the part gets to you. you can do whatever customization you want with techstream

and yes the new ECU fixes the seatbelt sensor

they didn't hook it up with techstream im sure they just guessed
I noticed this last week when I was playing around with the Techstream. I thought it was odd that the DRL option was in there.

I've got a higher VIN, according to the TSB I already have the new ECU. I still had the Passenger Window Rolldown issue. I've been back and forth with the Dealership and Scion Corporate trying to convince them that it doesn't work properly. Fun times.

So I assume you are the type that expects everyone to jump when you show up? Let me guess, you showed up to a dealer on a friday or a saturday and expected the techs to jump ahead of all other work to get to yours cause you have an frs? I use to be the same way. I tell people to plan to drop a car for the day anytime you go to a dealer these days.

to delete daytime running lights like the tsb says.

good way to void a factory warranty, i would real carefull with that. My brother did the same thing on a car a few years back and it locked up the ECU. When the tech read the softwear upgrade at the dealer it had an unknown upgrade in it. BAM! voided his warranty, he was 2K out of pocket for an ECU and software. Not toyota but it could still happen...

How long does it take to delete the DRL? The car has been at the dealer since 9am and still haven't received a call yet.

Ok. Just got a call from the service rep an they're having trouble with the program. Said for me to bring in my keys so they can re-code it to the new ECU. Also he told me that the new ECU gave me a 50hp boost.

same thing happened to me..My FR-S had to spend the night at the dealership. I dropped the keys off in the morning and they had it done about an hour later.
